The Kumud Vidyamandir Passed Students’ Association is an organization that has been a strong pillar of support for both the institution and the school. It was established in 1990 under the initiative of the late Mr. Suhas Vishwanath Thakur and has been actively working with great enthusiasm ever since. The primary objective of the association is to instill a sense of responsibility among the passed students towards the school, society, and current students, encouraging them to contribute in whatever way they can.

The association organizes various activities, such as trips, competitions, and social welfare projects driven by a sense of social responsibility. The executive committee meets on the first Sunday of every month at 10 a.m., and the annual general meeting is held on August 15th at 11 a.m. at the school. Throughout the year, the association runs several initiatives, including providing financial and educational assistance to needy and aspiring students, organizing career guidance and motivational programs, and hosting trips and chess competitions.

In memory of Dr. Suhas Thakur, who passed away unexpectedly, the association has been organizing a blood donation camp on the second Sunday of December for the past twelve years. This event receives excellent support from passed students, parents, and the community, serving as a tribute to Suhas.

Our Passed Students’ Association is truly a source of great pride. Former students like Mr. Chintaman Gawand, Sunil Mhatre, Rajesh Parandwal, Sudhir Sawant, and Rajendra Wakode, along with Hema Parandwal, have worked tirelessly to bring the Passed Students’ Association to prominence. Under the special guidance of Mr. Mahadev Koli, Mr. Vilas Kamble, and Mr. Mahendra Bhoir, enthusiastic efforts are being carried forward by Mr. Dayanand Tambe, Mr. Ramchandra Parulekar, Mr. Yuvraj Pawar, Mr. Sudesh Panwalkar, and Mr. Avinash More.

The Passed Students’ Association is indeed a strong foundation stone for the Kumud Memorial Fund.
